Try any or all of these six tips to keep you on your toes, improve your sales and organize your business.
Fix your daily routine. Success is hardly ever the result of an accident. Instead, it is the result of a supreme routine. Fix up your daily work routine. This will cause an increase in your professionalism and improve your comfort zone.
Keep the distractions to a minimum. Distractions can ruin more opportunities for you than anything else. Would you want the driver of your child’s school bus to deal with the same distractions that you deal with everday? Try to picture the school bus driver checking his voice mail and e-mail every 15 minutes and making and taking phone calls while driving.
Be careful when multi-tasking. Focus on the quality of your work and the task being performed. Use technology to help you accomplish your tasks. Don’t let technology harass you.
Start each day with a To-Do List. The best way to avoid distractions during the day is to make a To-Do list and prioritize it. This should be done everday first thing in the morning. It should include work related items and any other non-work related items that you may have to deal with such as meals, children, laundry, etc. Don’t stray from the list! The only time you should do something that is not on the list is when it is more important than what you are already doing. Abandoning your To-Do list can make you lose control of time. Take back control!
Keep the improv to a minimum. Use the material that you know works. Prepare and practice before any business meeting, email or phone call. This will relax you and make you feel more comfortable.
Educate yourself. Exercise your braind and mind by reading or writing every day. I like to carry a small book of Sodoku puzzles with me all the time. This helps me to relax, provides me with something to do if I am stuck waiting, and exercises my mind.
Yes, you can! Henry Ford once said ‘Whether you think you can or can’t - you’re right!’ Everything is about attitude. So think Yes. Yes I can make this sale, Yes I can handle this task.
