I recently was given an iPhone. I have never had a PDA or ‘Smart Phone’. When I received the phone I thought, ‘this is just a waste of money, I’m never going to use all the features’. Wow, was I wrong.

 When I’m at home, I have my computer and I use it all the time but it is wonderful being connected 24/7 even when I’m not at home. With this new iPhone I can browse websites, update, send and check e-mail, view the weather, and map out a route to the nearest coffee shop all while listening to my favorite music because the iPhone is a cell phone and an iPod all in one. 

 I have my likes and dislikes about the phone it self but when it comes down to it, this has become my favorite gadget and an essential part of my work tools. I don’t feel like I have to be confined to my office anymore.

 So, I’m wondering are these little gadgets and devices essential? Probably not, but they are very helpful.
