Multi-level marketing a.k.a. network marketing has become a huge part of our culture. Some consider it to be a scam while others profit from success. So how can you make your dowline a step above the rest?

If you are in an MLM and want to find more people to join your downline you need to offer something that everyone else does not. Network marketing is very tricky. In my experience with them I have learned one thing: most of the network marketers that really succeed offer something that no one else has. This could be something as simple as an incentive, a website or even spectacular training.

Think about it this way: Matt finds out about your business from your MySpace page. He check out your ’subdomain’ (hosted site off of the main MLM website). No matter how catchy your page is, he is going to do his research. Matt may do a Google search to see what other people are saying about the company. If he finds a website full of tips and tricks specific to that MLM then finds out this website will also give him another one just like it to market with he is probably going to choose them over you. Also, most people don’t want to make other people money. He is not going to want to sign up under you, he will go to the main site and sign up there or find someone who may be a little closer to him georgraphically.

 So having a website benefits you by offering something that no one else does. The best kind of website to have is one that you post in regularly. The posts should include something that will benefit people who are in your downline. Then only include part of these posts and if the person reading wants more they need to register.

 Falling in the same line is incentive. This can be so simple, just provide the product. I have found that sending a free product just for signing up for a newsletter can really change peoples minds about network marketing.
