There is a great contest going on over at Pixel Head Online. This is an amateur logo design contest that I wanted to throw my name in for. So this is my entry for the Logo Contest . There are a lot of great prizes available including an iPod shuffle which I could really use right now and a bunch of advertising which never hurts either.

Contests are great for networking and I often participate in contests that I find online. Including design challenges because they are the most fun. It’s great to see what everyone comes up with. I design for fun and as a hobby. I have never been paid for it.

I created a logo for Baldy Dog as you can see. I created the logo with Web 2.0 glass effect. The logo was created in Photoshop CS2. I used a rounded square shape then styled it with a custom gradient, inner glow and stroke. I added the text. I made the shadow by duplicating the layer, transforming it and changing the opacity. The reflection was made by rotating the canvas and styling with a gradient.

I think the end result looks fabulous.
