Marketing Tips

Marketing is expensive. Here is an idea to help you grow your business for cheap!

Have a shirt made or make it yourself. The shirt should say ‘Ask me about _____(interesting product or service that you offer).’ It could even say something like ‘Ask me about a free DVD’ if that is an incentive ou offer. The lettering should be big and bold but not hurt the eyes. Now, take five dollars every week and go have lunch in a public place. Don’t worry the five dollars is tax deductable. Try leaving catalogs, brochures or business cards in places where people have to wait. Try your local mechanic, a doctors office or the beauty salon. I even once met someoene who left business cards in public restrooms. Most people do not remember to bring a book or magazine to these places so they are forced to read whatever is lying around. Make sure your brochure or catalog is interesting and can hold a persons attention.

Do you still handwrite your checks to pay bills? Most of us don’t but if you have already switched ot the technologically advanced world of online bill pay you may want to reconsider. Try including a brochur or business card with your payments. This is a faily easy and relatively cheap way to attract new prospects.
