I know you are probably thinking host a what?! I don’t mean go out and rent a meeting room at the fanciest hotel in town, no, try throwing a small party in your backyard. Invite all of your friends, prospects and business contacts. Then tell them to bring at least one guest. This is an awesome way to get the message out about your product or service. I love getting catalogs in the mail. I know most folks hate them, they consider them junk mail and then quickly throw them out. I however love seeing all of the funny and unique items. My boss and I had a good laugh not that long ago about an item I saw in a catalog that I brought in to work. It was a ‘boyfriend pillow’. It consisted of a full sized pillow with an attached cotton filled arm that could be wrapped around a person. The pillow even wore a fleece shirt. Not something I would ever purchase for myself but as a gag gift that would be pretty clever. Continue »
